Default Sometimes i just want to strangle him!!!

Why are men so infuriating?!

I asked my husband to do a load of dishes before he gets back on the computer and heads to bed shortly after that. I get attitude! I asked him what i did. "What havent you done? THATS the question!"

I have spent the day cleaning and doing various chores. I cleaned both the kids rooms thoroughly and sprayed for fleas. I took all the trash out of the house that was ready to go. I started cleaning the bathrooms upstairs. I've done more laundry than i care to fold. I cooked dinner. I fed the dogs, let them out to do their business AND have spent the rest of the time either trying to convince my back to stop hurting or doing the things i've asked him to do that he said he would do!!! Yes, not much has gotten done these last couple of weeks because i've been sick BECAUSE HE BROUGHT THE STUPID COLD HOME!!!!! And between trying to keep up the energy to keep up with the dogs he is NO help with and trying to keep up with the kids and STILL take care of myself, no nothing has gotten done. i have been as lazy as i've been able to get away so i can get better. I'm in for yet another winter with him bringing colds home every freaking weekend because he refuses to do ANYTHING to boost his immune system. I have a decent immune system but when i get hit with a cold, i may as well have the flu. I am so freaking ticked off at him right now i could strangle him. I havent been sleeping well no thanks to nightmares. Most of you know i'm usually awake all night. gosh i wonder why!!!! I've been on a "normal" sleeping schedule for a little less than a week now and am seriously considering going back to being awake all night. I love him with all my heart but there are days/nights that i just wonder what the heck i was thinking in getting married. He's such a jerk sometimes (well he's male so it makes sense). But then there are times that he's the greatest most sweetest guy on the planet and he's all mine. I guess this is just one of those times i cant stand him. Currently my opinion is men are jerks and can go jump off a cliff into the abyss.

Oh and i also cleaned, mopped AND rearranged the livingroom. I think i've done a heckuva lot more than nothing compared to him. lazy, no good, son of a.... actually thrilled to death right now that he'll be gone ALL day and most of the night on tuesday for a coverage.

ick on men right now. Even his dog is in trouble simply because he's male.

Hey, you married him and now are stuck with him warts and all. This is yet another reason I'm not married as I couldn't put up with that sort of nonsense.

lol he's not usually such a PITA but some days i just want to kick him with a pointy toed shoe right where it counts. I swear its like he's PMSing or something! i did give him a dose of his own medicine in regards to the house. He did all the cleaning and kept asking me to do this or that and i never did it just like he did all the time. So now he understands why i throw such a fit over me doing all the work and him not cleaning up after himself.

LOL, my dh and I are honeymooning still so I have no advice...... I do know dh hesitates to help me because I can be so anal about how things are done. He also forgets because he knew my professional persona before finding out who I am personally, that the Patti who rapped his knuckles with a ruler during a meeting for touching something on my desk is the same gal who doesn't rinse her milk glass before sticking it in the dishwasher. I told him yes it's a dual personality and if he ever screws up they both get alimony
Good luck with your dh!

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away.

you're preaching to the choir here!! Sometimes I ask him "Do you do things just because you KNOW it's going to tick me off"?? My most often used is "Do you live here" Usually used when he acts surprised at some news that the rest of the family heard about weeks ago and/or when he asks something stupid like "Where are the coffee mugs" We've lived here for 5 years; they're where they've always been!

And, yes, I do believe that men PMS. and they are just as bad as we are. And no one is more whiney and worthless than a man with the cold/flu. My grandma always said that if us girls acted like that, the world would just end coz nothing would ever get done!

We have lived here for 7 years and when he puts dishes away he STILL can not get them in the right spot. I mean come on!!! I have learned to just move them to where they go with out a word. Otherwise he will stop doing housework. I would rather he help and get it half right then not help at all.

I hear ya Valerie! It's usually not him putting away things, but can't find something he wants. Like "where did you put my socks" Like I decided to hide him just to mess with his head?

lol I completely understand. I have done everything for the last 7 years he has not washed a single piece of clothes has not put any away same with dishes doesn't vacuum doesn't do anything. Heck I work late (til 9) and he wont even make his own dinner so every night I make up lunch and dinner for him for the next day and he just has to reheat it even when I try to make breakfast simple like frozen waffles or cereal he wakes me up (at 4 am) to pour the cereal in the bowl. Anytime I ask for him to do something simple he ignores me then gets mad its not done however this past week he actually cleaned the kitchen while I was at work (had to ignore it for like 5 days while he was on vacation and guess the mess FINALLY got to him) and he puts everything in the wierdest places like my pots and pans on the other side of the kitchen instead of the cabinet right next to the stove or all my spices and cooking sprays in the pantry on the other side of the kitchen with the canned goods and extra storage instead of the overhead cabinet above/next to my stove where I can grab it while cooking then gets unbelievably ticked off when I ask him where something is after searching for like 20 minutes for it.

this morning he tried to be nice (I think) he woke up before me (he has day off I have to go to work) and he decided to cook me an egg for breakfast (first time hes cooked in about 7 years) and yells at me to wake up then yells at me the entire time hes cooking it like hes mad at me that hes doing something nice? I offered to take over and he refused but dear lord men are a pain and yes they get PMS just like women but worse and AMEN to the fact they are the worst when sick all they do is whine and cry and refuse to move because of a stupid headache or something.
