Why is it, you can clean your house and then you go to work for 8 hours, my hubby works 9 hours and so i am home b4 him, but the dogs have yet to be fed, supposoe to be fed at 5, i smell kitty poop on the kitchen floor (they won't use the box). My kitchen and living is trashed and you can bet your A** laundry hasn't been touched
. All the while my 3 kids have been home, 15, 11.5 and 6.5. My 15 yr old boy has beeen in the garage working on derby lawn mowers, i tell him that ain't work to me, he could help pick up the house..He says its work to him, and walked off. My girls point blank are LAZY....Sorry it is just an everyday thing, i can't wait for school to start...Oh yea and Sophie keeps trying to eat sammy, the new puppy. She won;t quit with the chasing her down and chewing on her neck and stuff or she will literally bite her legs out from under her...AHHHH i feel better.

My kids have been doing their own laundry since they were 8. I got tired of them constantly changing their clothes several times a day and putting something they only wore for 2 hours in the dirty laundry.
My daughter looked at me one day and said "i don't do the laundry so I don't really care". I was like..."guess what, you do your laundry now!". From that moment on, she did her own laundry. She's 20 now. If she happens to be in a bind and need me to do it for her, she has to pay me $5.

well for the most part my son does his own....My daughters OMG....My eldest daughter is a pain in the butt, as a matter of fact i told her to put her clean clothes up a while ago, she took them to her room, and put them on her bed, which by tomorrow morning will be the floor...I mean i ask them to bring me their dirty clothes so i can wash them, and they bring me folded clothes that have been in their floor...WTH...I refuse to do them anymore...I guess they will figure it out....Well i guess i need to do my soon to be 7 year olds...Oh man. Does it get any better? I have heard NOT...

I think you're right - let the two older kids do their own laundry! If they want to rewash clean clothes that they left on the floor that would be their decision.
