I love it! Very gutsy.

Wow, Laurie, you sound like you'd have a great career in mediation!

Me too! And, I remember standing on a chair to do dishes.

When I say things like this to my lazy teenaged nephew he says "...and I bet you walked 5 miles back & forth from school in the snow up hill both ways..."

My mother says that. Except that she adds that she had to share one pair of shoes with her three sisters in the Nova Scotian winter.

My mom gets mad at me when I do the laundry. She thinks the dryer is going to catch on fire and the washer is going to start leaking and flood the basement unless she does it. :/

Default Kids???

When my daughter was 16 I had told her to do her laundry. She didn't. The next day the washer broke down. We could not get it fixed for 3 weeks. After that she did her laundry without me having to say a word.

Yip, cat poop reeks, but I don't think it compares to the giant dog logs I have to clean up in the yard. At least it's in the yard I guess. I can't stand anything unclean in the house. One of our cats was recently spraying around in the garage. Absolutely disgusting!

I wish I could blame my house on kids lol...My fiance and I are just lazy >.<
I think grounding is well and good but no TV/Computer/Music would go a lot farther with them. Also no working on the mower until chores are done. I would try to estimate how long it takes to do each chore and have it set to make it be about 20 mins a day or 60 mins a week, and it should be done right after school so they can't put it off.
