I guess the point that all us "old people" are trying to get across is that the world isn't divided into neat categories. There is no thick black line separating the "normal" people from the "weird"

Even within that 50' radius he's not going to be able to make out much detail especially with some bargain bin security camera.

So if the kids were across the street near the school where they should be in the first place they'd be far outside of his range. Even the teenage girls behind him in their backyard swimming would be too far for him to see. It wouldn't matter if they were nude or in full winter clothing all he'd see is a blurry blob.

My dad installed some half decent security cameras inside the local church. These were inside away from the glare of the sun in a well lit hallway so that they could see who was coming through the doors.

I watched the screen as a woman came through the door and passed 10' from the camera and her face was still relatively blurry. These cameras had night vision too but they didn't have the black magic option that allowed them to see farther at night. Maybe he bought his from the NSA . . . . . . Since you were confused by the relation of 1941 and WWII (that's World War II (The two I's mean 2, that's two) ) NSA is National Security Agency.

I have no idea how that happens.Technology is changing everyday.

i heard about a guy with a meth lab in his car.o.o someone at my high school did meth, and it made him kinda crazy, to the point it ruined his relationship with his family and girlfriend and he ended up shooting himself.sad thing was, he was a great athlete and had a soccer scholarship.Thats why I stay away from drugs and out of the drug dealing buisness.

ok, I asked around. Many cameras can see "farther" at night because of the reduced glare from the sun. Of course, the darkness means that there is less clarity in the image. IE it's lighter and darker shadows, not clear images like you would see in the daylight. Unless of course, you have a camera that is equipped with night vision, but those aren't cheap.

again, though, unless you have a really expensive camera set-up, you aren't going to have the clarity to spy on your neighbor's yard. Not to mention across the street into a playground! Such a system is out of budget for all but the most top secret of operations, let alone a "creeper" who lives with his mother.

I wonder if it has night vision...o.O.Its just odd how out of nowhere they put up cameras, they put them up like 1 year or 2 ago.And the first time we noticed the cameras was the one on the chimney. If we noticed ones only the front, We probably wouldn't be worried. There dad of a heart attack, he wasn't murdered, there house was never robbed. They had a tree fall on their roof, but only some of the roof was damaged. We don't live in East LA or Compton and don't have a gang issue.

At least he isnt a bum living a creepy old van and peeping into girls windows.

well, chimney is the most logical spot to get a full view of the yard. as said, higher vantage point provides the most view.

well, is his backyard in the same direction? you can't tell exactly what is visible just by looking at a camera on top of the chimney. also, you still aren't taking into account the distance from camera to the neighbor's house. Unless he has a VERY pricey system, you just can't see that far with the average security camera.
