Yes. I like it. The people I work with are great(for the most part). And the people I work for(the vets) are wonderful. We share a common bond together that is hard to explain, but makes other differences between us seem trivial by comparison. I love working with vets. They all give me a sense of appreciation and gratitude for even the smallest little things that I do. They don't know how much they have given me. What they've given me is far more than the minor little things I've done in my eyes.
But then, these guys(and gals, we are getting more females all the time) are heroes. They were then, and they are now. I think it just became a habit. They've gotten old, and sick, in pain, some of them dying. But they just go right on being heroes because that is what they've always been---they don't know how to be anything else. Yes, they all have their weaknesses and failings, but they are what they are. And to me, what they are is great. I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing. End of rant. Sounds corny I guess, but it is true for me.
