Definitely a scam! When I get them I just hit my SPAM button to block them.

I get these ALL the time in various forms. Its not even worth reporting as their near impossible to trace and once the email is blocked, they simply create another. I just delete and move on...

Yep. It really doesn't matter what e-mail address it came from. That is astonishingly easy to do. I often get spam "from" my own e-mail address.

I would contact Microsoft as they might take action as their name is being used inappropriately.

You might try the following.

Internet Crime Complaint Center
http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx

Also consider forwarding the email to spam@uce.gov. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will place your email in a database and use the combined information to track down and prosecute the scammer/spammers.
