Default Safe carpet/air freshners??

I was wondering id febreeze is safe to use around my dog.
Also, you know that smelly powder you put down & vaccume up?
Is that like irritating to their noses?
My dog doesnt smell, but my house smells a little bit of dog. (Dont mind too much)
Is there something natural I can use instead?

if you can get some crushed dried mint you can put that on your carpet and then vacum it up. Ive known of some people to do that and it makes their house smell better.

Can you just sprinkle baking soda on the carpet?

Yup. If you get fresh you need to dry them out first, then grind them up and use like the stuff you buy in the store. Anywheres where you can buy mint will work.

and thanks

I found that Febreeze and the carpet powders make my dogs very ITCHY!! So I stopped using them and tried the baking soda. Maybe it works for others....but it darn near ruined my vacuum. The powder was in the motor....everywhere.
I've been using ZeroOdor (online) for two years now and I really like it. It's a spray odor neutralizer....no scent and I can use it on any fabrics including the carpet. It's a little pricey, but goes a long way.

we use baking soda and vinegar for cleaning.
we also have a lot of green cleaning products.
sometimes we open the windows and let it air out.
