4 Police Officers Killed in Ambush

This is going on all around my house right now. There were 4 Police Officers ambushed and killed at a coffee shop, I believe it happened around 8am. It is within 12-16 blocks of my house. Down my road, is another group of officers looking in my neighborhood for the suspect, who ran from the scene. We have had Police helicopters flying over and around us here. I just heard that the owner of the coffee shop was also a Police Officer.

So sad and scary too. My doors are locked ATM, but that won't be all day as the dogs still have to go out to go potty now and then.

Checking the TV for the news but its not mentioned yet. Seems to be over shadowed by Tiger Woods wreck. Guess he drives a golf ball better than a cadillac. Horrible story about the Police though.

It is a headline on MSN homepage now.
The Police are also about 6 blocks down the road with a large presence and SWAT teams, etc looking into a house there. They think the suspect may have gone there. They took a white pick up truck from my local grocery store 6 blocks away too

This morning the 'person of interest' is now a suspect. They believe that the last officer to die got at least one shot off and hit the suspect and they are in Seattle where they believe the suspect to be holed up. They are calling it a standoff, but they do not know if the suspect is alive. They think there is a possibility that he has died from his wound, so no news on when they might try to go into the home, and there is at least one school in the neighborhood that is closed due to the situation there.

All I really know is that I hope they get the guy one way or another. He was sentenced in Arkansas to 95 years but was given clemency; he was arrested here within the past 7 months, once for assault on a police officer, and another for 2nd degree rape of a child. This man, even if he turns out not to be there one who killed these cops, should have never been on the streets!!

My prayers go out to the families, friends and all affected by this senseless crime.

The suspect was not in the house they had surrounded all night! He is still at large and considered armed and dangerous.
