I never eat fruits or veggies unless you count the tomato on my hamburger... LOL
I was thinking about getting a juicer. Saw one on TV one of those 30 minute info-mercials actually........ I almost picked up the phone and ordered it, but stopped myself half-way thru dialing and decided to ask for some advice. so, if you have one, do you like it? use it? would you recommend it? Any other advice? Brand, etc etc

I have one...the Juiceman Juicer...great machine. Came with a book of recipes...what they are good for...and also the man's life story...which is truly amazing. I love it! I got it many many years ago and it is still going strong. Just checked the website...I see they have a waaay more advanced model than what I have..lol.
http://juiceman.com/product.aspx The Jack LaLane machine looks very good too. I saw an inframercial for one last night...Montel was the celebrity...and it doesn't output any pulp. I think that would make the juice even more nutritional...but I wonder if it's very thick??

I have tried the V8 juices. I like them ok.... but wonder how many vitamins and stuff have survived being stuck in a bottle for weeks or months?
Yea, that is the one I was looking at.... the Montel one. So you like it? ********** oh, the one on Montel was called the "healthmaster" not the juiceman...

I don't have the montel one...I have the Juiceman Juicer.
The one that Montel was plugging did intrigue me...were you able to heat things in it as well?? I liked the concept that absolutely nothing is thrown away. That being said...would the juice be thicker? does it even matter? don't know...would love to try juice made in his juicer. btw - in the Juiceman's book...he stresses the importance of drinking the juice within min. of making it so as to not lose vital nuitriants.

We got a Jack Lalane (sp?) juicer and LOVE it!
We make orange juice (two oranges, 1/2 grapefruit) - YUM or I've done pineapple, 1 orange, 1 grapefruit. Lemonade with 1/2 lemon and 2 apples (have added either strawberries, kiwi, or raspberries to it as well). I've also done some where I've mixed berries, peach, orange, pineapple and apple.

After doing a bit of research:
Anyone have the Vita-Mix? Seems they have really good reviews on Amazon. Some of the other ones (healthmaster in particular) seem to have an issue with QC and Customer Service issues. If I am going to spend that much money I don't want it to break down and have no customer service!!

Am looking at the Jack Lalane one as well as the vita-mix.
We are pretty good on veggies and fruits, but helps with more. Plus, the cost of 'organic" and full juice juices is going up. I like the idea of making my own. I did the same with Cara when she went to solids - I made all her veggies, fruits and meats. I also take Complete Greens and OPC3 from Market America; get the additional greens and anti-oxidents.
