Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
All you guys over there in the states should be up by now slaving away in kitchens!
 The day is almost done here. Last night Aaron Tippin did a concert for the soldiers and civilians here at COB Speicher in Iraq. It was a fun and wonderful show.  Went to bed late and slept in this morning. I usually go to work at 5:30 but did not go in until 7:30 - sinful!  This morning we made pancakes, eggs and bacon on an electric griddle in the office and had a great breakfast. At about 1 PM we went to the dining facility for turkey and all the trimmings. The military and civilian cooks put out a wonderful meal.  We are going to decoarate a Christmas tree that one of the ladies in the office next store ordered from the states. It is a full size artificial tree and it will be fun to decorate. As you can tell we got a whole lot of work done here today! (Actually I did!) And I am going home early to go walking with another one of the ladies. We need to walk off turkey. I hope everyone at home has a wonderful holiday and is thankful for all the things we have in America.

Happy Thanksgiving back to you and to the rest of the GSD board.
I am working today (  ) but only until 530, then I'll go to my moms for a little bit (where my DH will be with the kids already) and then home to sleep. I have to work tomorrow, too.I hope everyone enjoys their day!

Thank you Kathy! And a belated Happy Thanksgiving to you and all those serving with you in Iraq - you are high on my list of things to be thankful for today.....
You are right to remind us that we have much to be appreciative of in this country - so often we become complacent and forget. Thank you again, and I hope you will be home soon. Happy Thanksgiving to everybody. I haven't started cooking yet because I had to get my internet fix first. lol. I'm debating what to do next. Do I want to get the bird going first or read the After Thanksgiving ads in the paper? I guess I should go see if the bird is even defrosted in the sink and go from there.

My dad is in a nursing home for rehab, so my mom, DH and I will be going there to visit him and then the three of us are going to a local restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. Not quite the same as a good home-cooked feast, but I guess you do what you can do!
