Might be of some interest here around Christmas
1) Gold is up over 40% in the past 12 months. Yes, it can still go up... but good grief, it has jumped $350/ounce this year.... If I had some I was sitting on, I just couldn't pass this up. I still HIGHLY recommend the refinery in Michigan I have used numerous times for large and small amounts. They have never been off by more than 1% even when I have sent in a couple pounds at the time. 2) I have purchased numerous watches from http://www.thewatchery.com and still pleased as can be. Their prices are so dag-gone good that lots of independently owned retail jewelry stores purchase from them directly as they beat out the distributors prices to the trade. I just placed an order for my jewelry store partner for the store. YOU can buy from them and save the markup. Nice Christmas gifts or if you are looking for yourself. Super prices that more than beat even Costo or Sams or BJ's and certainly beat a Jewelry store with their necessary mark-up.

You are welcome.
I bought several Movado's last year about this time from them from their clearance center. Turned around and relisted them on EBAY and made a tidy profit between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Their watches come with all original paperwork and most importantly, the boxes. Tricky part is knowing which will be easy to resell. Since I was a partner in a jewelry business it was easier to see what people were asking for, but even then.... still a little risky. As for the gold stuff, I have a love hate relationship with it. Long term its a really poor investment for the most part. I hoard it, then get mad and sell it all and swear I am getting out of that business then... I buy more at 50-60% of value (normally from individuals that would otherwise be getting much less at so it is a win-win). Gold has just gone crazy this past year which really scares the beejeezus out of me that people are so scared about our currency that they are running the prices up like that...... I've posted this before but... PEOPLE! Don't sell your gold to one of those rip-off places paying 20-50%. Send it to a refiner and get 95%!!! You don't have to be in the trade to do so!!! There are refiners that will buy from the public!!!!

That sounds to me like good information you are passing along Tammy.
Not really too pertinent to me, even if I had unlimited resources, I doubt if I'd ever pay more than $30-$50 for a watch. Knowing myself, I'd just break it or lose it the very next day! LOL. Jewelry, something else I've never been too big on. Rings always bugged me. If they are big enough to go over my knuckle, they slide all around and bug the heck out of me. Perhaps the only thing I have that qualifies as jewelry is the little chrome thingy they gave me at work to hang my name tag from(unless you count the electronic door opener thing on the van keys). I'm sure there are others who can benefit from your advice though, after all, I'm the weird one. Your signature line got my attention though. I think you need to add something. FACTS DO NOT CEASE TO EXIST SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY ARE IGNORED (SOMETIMES THEY SNEAK UP BEHIND YOU AND BITE YOU)
