Default Yahoo Groups

I'm frustrated. I just joined a Yahoo Group so I can hopefully learn more about Kidney problems in dogs. My questions is...how do you read those forums???? They seem to be all over the place, or is it just me??? I see answers to questions that aren't even asked yet... you have to like page back to find the questions??? Is it me?? Am I doing something wrong? This is frustrating.

They are message boards, so the messages are assigned a number as they are posted, I suppose...
If you click on a message heading, it should take you to that message, then below that it should show you the related messages.
You can also do a search within the group on words...

I joined couple BARF diet groups on there and noticed that I will get emails with every response posted on the group site. that probably will depend on the settings but works for me since I can just open my email and see exactly what is going on there.
Yes, these may be topics that you may not be interested in also.
I signed up for a yahoo email account to join and use it only for group emails. there can be a LOT of them.

as far as posts/responses on the actual forum go they are sorted by date with newest first. you will have to go through many pages to find what you are looking for.

Hope it helps

I belonged to an auto-related Yahoo group and an Epilepsy one but cancelled both because I found them to be more trouble than helpful.

you can change your settings so that you use it "web only" or to get one daily email of all the posts. the individual emails can drive you crazy on a busy group.

when you click on a message, at the bottom will be a "tree" just go back to the beginning of the thread if it's something that you are interested in and read through from there

another way is to click the 'group by topic' at the top of the message list

They are more difficult to read than this board - but do stay with it. I'm sure that group is like others I belong to, a buttload of knowledge!
