A thank you to the GSD board

I came to this board in April 2008, just a few weeks after we got Mandalay. Since then, this board has proved to be invaluable (is that even a word?). I have come here when I needed quick answers about my dog, my cat, my kids and my life. I have come here when I needed to "get away". I have come here when I felt I needed to share a moment with "someone" who would understand (not having any people in my life who REALLY TRULY love their dogs as much as I do).

This board has almost become my extended family. Being Buddhist, I try to get time in everyday (ok, fine, a few times a week at most!) to meditate and pass on good Karma to others who may need it. When I respond to your posts and say that I will keep you in my thoughts, I do this. I don't turn off my laptop and leave the GSD forum behind.

I think about many of you throughout my days and find myself often laughing out loud at something that was posted here hours after I read it.

I wanted to thank you all for making me feel welcome when I first showed up, for helping me when I needed it, and for never making me feel like I could not or should not come here.

I hope I have made others feel the same way.

Yes, it is pretty addictive isn't it?
I am also glad that I came across this forum. So many nice people who have enriched my life in so many ways.

Emily, now that your here, the board just wouldn't be the same without you here. It's people like yourself that make it worthwhile.

Glad to have met your acquaintance if only through cyber space.

I will never forget when Cesar died. I could barely post. I came back that night and there was three pages of responses which helped me a lot. Then Jazmin : ( I hope that having a crazy dog myself will help people keep on trying with thier dogs instead of giving up. It IS a hard breed but well worth the struggles.
