She sounds like a beautiful creature.

Being strong enough to let her escape her pain shows how much you loved her. When I worked at the vet and people would leave their pets to die alone I always went and held them. It's one of the hardest things you'll ever do but you owe it to your pet. Your husband is wonderful for that. She's still with you.
