I am not exactlt sure where else I should post this but I do have a question.
I just got Leyna's pedigree back from the SV today. The only breed surveys and titles recognized on it by the SV are the few DDR dogs in her pedigree. They did not recognize a single Czech title or survey. Does anyone know why?

Well, if you get an AKC certificate, you will not see any VA ratings, schutzhund titles, a-stamps. They only list the AKC stuff. So, Joy's Grand parents on the sire's side are Sieger and Siegerin, well, none of that shows up. Does not matter at all in the view of the AKC.
I am not as familiar with SV. Vegas' dam is LOF and VA2 (I think in France), but that is listed on Gispo's pedigree, so I guess maybe it depends on what registry is used.

It is still an FCI registry. The SV should recognize it.
The AKC will show the SV titles now....if you pay them.

I thought the samething & pulled out his AKC pedigree and it does not list any SV titles. I got mine last year, so it's fairly new. I know I paid extra for more generations to show. If there was a block for an extra charge to show SV titles, I totally missed it.
I also have a Vegas grandson it shows LOF 569091 (08-10) that's it. I just assumed AKC could care less about SV titles? |

From the AKC website:
American Kennel Club - Frequently Asked Questions Why don't you list the titles that dogs earn in foreign countries or in non-AKC events? Recognizing various titles and logistically being able to record them in our database and print them all on registration documents are two entirely different matters. The issue is much more complicated than whether or not to include a few foreign championship titles on a few imports. AKC does register thousands of dogs a year based upon pedigrees issued by foreign registries. There are many national and international championships offered by various organizations. There are many more titles than just show championships involved, e.g. Obedience, Agility, Field Trial, Schutzhund, etc. Also, because the U.S. has no quarantine to limit imports or competing in events in other countries, and because the U.S. shares borders thousands of miles long with two other countries, thousands of dogs go back and forth across these borders every year. Many of these dogs have multiple titles in their country of birth before coming to the U.S. Many thousands of dogs also earn numerous foreign titles after they have been AKC registered. These titles are earned around the world, but particularly in countries like Canada and Mexico where events are so easy to reach for Americans. While there are problems that we have to overcome and we cannot possibly list every foreign title a dog could earn, we do understand how strongly some registries and individuals feel about this. The AKC is aware of the importance of the issue and will make every effort to reach a fair and workable solution in the future. |

If you call them, you can actually submit the info and pay to have it added on the pedigree.

I think this is the norm for all registries. My UKC peds only have UKC titles, AKC only have AKC etc. When I showed Nikon and did his BH I did it under SV judges so that the results would count whether we entered SV, WDA, or USA events in the future.
