I am in Utah, I am looking for a great plush coated male to breed to my female. She produces over the top drive and energy. To die for bodies and coats. Pups who love people. Would perfer West German Show Lines but will consider West German working lines.
I have to do surgical AI, can take shipped fresh chilled, she is hard to get pregnant so frozen is not optimal. Fresh collected is better. If anyone knows of such a male in the Utah area?

You're better off adding her credentials.Titles, ofa results and link to her pedigree along with anything else important.

If she is that hard to get pregnant, should you even be trying?

Good question
she actually has a stricture that makes it very hard for the male to pentetrate. When we use surgical AI along with progesterone testing it is very easy and she produces wonderful pups. She has no problems whelping and is a wonderful mother. http://www.majicforest.com/tank.ht

Doesn't look like any or many of her dogs have any titles.

Joking aside, I'm sure there are some nice studs in Utah - do you show in conformation at all? I'm sure some of the studs shown would stand out to you, and you could approach their owners to see whether they are interested in breeding them to your girl. Or if you show your girl or participate in any kind of performance sport with her, stud owners will probably approach you. Are you worried about her being above the standard in height? Completely unrelated and out of personal curiosity - why do you list your dogs' weight on the website? |

Since you're looking for German show lines or working lines, a good place to investigate studs in your area would be the local SchH clubs. This would be a common "hang out" spot for owners of credentialed dogs of both lines. Though you may have a hard time finding a stud owner who's willing to breed with an untitled, long coat bitch.

Cheryl Weaver is the president of Olympus SchH, a DVG club who train in Ogden on Sundays. They are all very nice people who are receptive to new members. If you wanted to contact Cheryl at rotndog@aol.com about getting involved she will be able to give you specific times ect. They are a very well rounded, experienced, respectiful and down to business club.
