Did your bitches ever feed their pups?
Just curious if anyone had a bitch that regurgitated for their pups. If so, what was the bitch fed and how early did she start doing that?

So far, I have not seen this happen, but it is totally possible. The pirannah eat everything so fast that unless I am right there, I would never know.

Diabla has not being bred, but she regurgitated once with a litter of foster pups... her regular kibble.
I think it was an hormone rush the first time she met all of them at once, it never happened again.

I've only had one female do that. Isa started about 4 wks, she was on kibble and raw. It was still gross.

Not GSDs but I did have two Shar Pei bitches that routinely did this with litters starting at about 4 wks. I usually announced it was HOT LUNCH time

I've never seen it, but since we're not watching them 24/7 doesn't mean it's never happened.
