Anyone use them? I just had Kaynya tested. She started bleeding last Thursday and for the past couple days she's been flagging like crazy and DESPERATELY trying to entice Mauser. Poor guy doesn't know what to do!
![]() Her reading is 2.5 today. Doc says Sunday will be the earliest day to breed her as you want to get them while they are between 4 and 9 and it takes about 2-3 days to go from 2 to 4. So we have her first meeting with the stud scheduled for Sunday!

On day five I had Jenna tested, the next day the vet said, start today and keep breeding her. I bred her on day six, day eight and day eleven. It worked for me, this time.
If she is flagging, I would take her to the stud anyway, and just keep going back to the stud. Missing due to timing really stinks. Just my opinion. it takes the sperm a couple of days I guess to be ready to fertilize the egg. And sperm can live up to seven days in there. I heard somewhere that there are only three days where the egg can get fertilized and the majority of misses have to do with timing. Good luck.

2.9 still isn't committing. I'd redo one more to make sure it continues to rise. When we checked Grace on a Thurs she was 4.3, my vet considers over 3 to be committed. She was bred that saturday.

Angela,
Sent her the chart and also mentioned that. Emi would stall for a day or so and not follow the normal progression.

Thanks for the info, ladies!
We took her to meet the stud today (and so I could meet him) and he wasn't impressed. Neither is Mauser. Kaynya thinks it's time but the boys AND the tests say it's too early. ![]() So we will try her on Sunday and see what happens. If the male is still not interested I will probably rerun the test or maybe wait another day ot two. Since she only comes in every 9 months or so I didn't want to miss it this time around - that's why I did the test.

I do progesterone on every breeding. Progesterone doesn't lie; and well..how to say it nicely... I've had several girls who who were "overly" eager a bit too early
The chart Sue sent you is a great tool. Good luck Lauri!
