Default New Kennel design ( comments )

Hello Guys! I made a cad design of my proposed 2nd kennel at our farm's vacation house. well can you guys suggest the bad & good about the design so that I can make the changes before construction starts? It is designed to have the dogs access to the outside lawn and also inside the house.

here's the pic.

Personally, I like a solid wall or at least a half wall between the runs. I have seen too many dogs with toes and ears bit off while fence fighting and, when one of the dogs urinates, it runs into the next kennel.

At one point I would like to have a kennel on my property also.

My question is where are the drains located for cleaning?

What are you going to use for outside after the lawn in the run is destroyed and gouged out?

How much time will the dogs be spending in the 5X10' kennels? If a larger part of their days then I would recommend larger kennels. The dogs just seem to stay cleaner when they have more room to avoid their potty spots. I have one 10X10 that I use, but my other two are 16X18 and 32X32.

The design is very nice, but I agree with Lisa...they seem very small. My runs are 30 x 40.
