Thank you for what you do.
I've been watching a JRT whelp on a live camera and between what seemed like a very long time between the time I saw the first real sign of a puppy to the time it was born and the fact that the first time mama was trying to do more chewing than licking, I once again am clearly reminded of the fact that I'll never be able to breed a dog. So thank you for all you do, from the first moment you choose the parents to the moment you send them off to their homes!!

And now they're off to the vet's because it's been too long since the first pup - they know there are at least 2 more possibly a 3rd.
Yep, couldn't survive all this, no way, no how!!!

I agree! When I see how many things can go wrong, I don't know how BYBs do it! The idiots breeding pits down the road breed her as often as possible, and she gives birth outdoors, and the pups are darn near feral. I caught one as she ran down a busy road, and my God she was so terrified she tried attacking a few times after she got settled with us. I guess living the first two months of your life in a grimy backyard with a bunch of other dogs does that.
Thank you, responsible breeders! |
