I have a litter of nine (5 boys 4 girls) and I am going after the theme of Gods (Nordic, Celtic, Egyptian and Greek Gods; as well as any other). I know the Egyptian and Greek Gods, but not as familiar with the Nordic or Celtic Gods (I have looked them up online, just cant figure out which ones would be good). Which ones would you suggest?

Is there a letter theme? Or is it just deities?
Loki is a pretty common dog name from Norse mythology. I once had a Fenris, which is also norse although I first knew it from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. You might want to look at Hindu deities also. Loads of beautiful names there. |

Dad- http://prok9trainer.com/pedigree-bart.htm
Mom- http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/...ee/530751.html mom with babies...two b&t (both males) and seven sables This is my first litter, and I have not figured out a kennel name. From what I have read on the AKC website, I cannot apply for a kennel name till I have one AKC registered litter, then I would be granted a registered kennel name on a five-year provisional basis. So, no kennel name as of right now. |

You actually CAN use a kennel name - you just cannot register it yet.
Make sure no-one else is using the name you pick and then you can use it for your first litter. Here's a great link for God names: http://www.lowchensaustralia.com/names/gods.htm

Thanks! Both for the info and the link!
Right now, my husband and I hav narrowed the kennel names to two: vom Wolfschatz and vom Drachewolf He says he is still thinking.... I put both in a search engine, and came up empty on both (so I am taking that as a good sign that no one is using them). If I were to call AKC (because there is no way to look up kennel names on their page according to the faq age), would they be able to tell me if they are taken? |
