HOLY SMOKES!
So today I take the last 3 pups to the vet for a check up...just to be sure all is well. One of the three was going on a long trip today so I just wanted peace of mind. I was shocked when we weighed the two boys and they were 16 lbs at just turned 9 weeks old! No wonder my arms feel like they are breaking when I carry them!!
Of course the vet loved them all... I never really keep track of what my puppies weigh at 8-9 weeks old....clearly these guys are mooses. Does you of you know what yours typically weigh? Working lines, as I know show lines do tend to run larger....

Mine average anywhere from 13 to 16 lbs at 8 wks of age and that's on a litter of 9-13

ok...Hawk , my usual puppy Poppa, does produce pups on the smaller side, so maybe I am just not used to "normal".

Brady was 12lbs at 8 weeks
so I'd have to say they are going to be big boys hope you don't get smack talk about it

LOL! Smack talk? nah...
They will end up well within the standard, just clearly have a lot of substance to them. Parents are titled, koer'd, and all that jazz.

They all seem to equal out in the long run, lol. Besides 16lbs at 9 wks, so was prob 13-14 at 8 wks. Normal.

Siren (She is DDR/Czech) weighed 12.3 at 8 weeks and 20.3 at 10 1/2 weeks. So I would guess close to what yours weigh at 9 weeks.. She was from a litter of 10. She has the "mid sized" of the females. (2 were larger and 2 were smaller at 8 weeks.)

Otto was 12 lbs at 8 weeks so I'm thinking that's about right. He was the second biggest male.
