Gunther has been walking around the park we have near home with a loose leash! A full mile of no tugging even when there's other dogs around!. There were two pits, two akitas, and some small toy dog (which was learning socializing, 5 months old and terrified of other dogs). I don't want him to play with the dogs while he's leashed or unless it's in a safe environment (our lake park is for leashed dogs only and not really the kind of place for playing). But anyways, I know it's a small thing, but 9 months and no formal puppy training class, I'm extremely proud of him. He's very well mannered. He is though going into an Adult class (missed the puppy one due to finances at the time) hopefully this April!
