Default A little brag..

Singe took Best of Group in our AKC sactioned match yesterday! He was the only shepherd, but there was a very nice Terv that has won a couple of "real shows" as well as some young Aussie pups.

Also, he scored a 93 in the Rally Novice match. I've got to get this boy out and trialing again.

We tried our hand at Novice Obedience. Didn't go so great. NQed because he got distracted by the dogs in the next ring. But, he was great while he was focused. Only lost 3 points until then.

Congratulations on the good score. We got a 96 on our first Rally Novice trail and then followed up the next two days with scores of 92 and 87. The third day she was really off her game and didn't feel good. I think it was the stress of a three day show that did it. Still working on the first Q for Advanced though. The off leash thing really throws off my confidence and therefore affects her too. We were advised I should go for the Novice Obedience before trying the advanced Rally but I haven't figured out how to teach her to sit automatically for the CD every time we stop but not to sit unless I tell her on the Rally trials.

my dog does an auto-sit in Rally. The club members with Advanced and Excellent trials do an auto-sit as well. If there isn't a halt, they just give a stand or a heel command to keep the dog moving.

This sounds like a good idea. I'll try it. Thanks.
