New puppy - house training going well

Just bragging about my new puppy Titan (pics are in the pics forum). He's 8 weeks old and we've had him for 24 hours. He hasn't had a single accident. He's been going outside successfully so far. While he's obviously not house training, he does seem to be grasping the idea that going pee outside gets him lots of praise.

He seems to know that he's supposed to go outside, because he'll wander around crying and when we take him outside, he goes immediately.

He's such a smart boy, I can tell already.

What I don't care for much is that he has learned how to get up on the couch already, and it's a pretty high couch. He's figured out that if he puts his front paws on the couch and pushes his back and butt against the ottoman, he can shimmy up. Cedar was 4 months before she could get on the couch. He's going to be a handful.
