Default So proud...ran the preschool gauntlet admirably

This past week I had Isa, almost 5 months, in a pet store. We were just shopping and working on leash work when in came two preschool classes for a field trip. Each class had about 15 children.

Well, Isa LOVES children and I was prepared for her to lunge, bark, whine and generally carry on trying to get to the kids. I put her in a sit/stay. The teachers told the children they could file by and speak to Isa but not touch. Isa, held her position without a whimper (though I could see her quivering she was so excited). Every child spoke to her, some learned her name and asked other questions.....and my Isa acted like an angel. I was shocked!!!

As the last class walked off I heard the teacher say, "See, that was a well trained dog like we talked about."

Today, she passed another socialization experience with flying colors. I took her to the car wash. She entered the building with me...lots of people, children and the noise from the cars running through behind the glass. I put her in a sit/stay while I paid then let some of the kids come pet her. We then went out to the drying area where she watched all the commotion there...just laid at my feet and took it all in.

So proud of my girl!!!!

A strong sit/stay or down/stay is a very important thing to achieve. Great job!
