Gotta brag on Abbie

So after much hesitation I was prodded by the local Schutzhund club to bring Abbie out and see what she has. To say the least, I was reluctant. She is from purely American pet lines, and I thought for sure they would laugh her off the field...

And wouldn't you know it... She did darn well. "Pleasantly surprised" is what the helper said about her. She showed ALOT more prey drive than they were expecting, she did decently well with her nose, and she "recovered well". They absolutely want me to continue bringing her out. They said she has more than enough for me to work with and learn with.

So anyway, just had to share that. We're still going to get a male, but I will continue to work with her and see how far she can get too.

Brought Abbie out to a different club this weekend. They basically said the same thing. She has drive and appears to have enough to do the work... So thats a second opinion saying the same thing

I just need to learn to tap it better. They said they thought I might have put alittle too much obedience on her for her age. She's not showing her full potential due to me being alittle to strict on obedience for her age. They said they see it in her though, and some of the more experienced handlers were able to bring it out of her nicely when I handed them the leash....

Also, Ezra's breeder (who competes at the National Level) agrees that based on the videos of us working that I have sent her, she sees potential and drive in her...

...I just gotta work on me.

Absolutely.

I just wish I knew her pedigree though. I'm deeply intrigued to know where this drive is coming from
