Ok, so two of those dogs listed I don't even own - but I'm super proud of all three and had to brag!
Today they went to the 11th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk in Altamonte Springs to help benefit the SPCA of Central Florida. It's a cause near and dear to my heart since I volunteer there, and I rescued my biggest baby Alex from there. Anyway, Zira and Alex are already the best of friends, but had yet to meet Dooney, and Dooney had yet to meet them. Knowing that Alex is a little timid still, even with friendly dogs, I had a little bit of a worry. But I shouldn't have - she did great. And it seemed that Dooney was loving that she found some dogs that understand her play style. Zira seemed to be just having a general blast the entire time. So to my surprise, we were three GSD owners with our babies, and we only saw a few more GSD's. I kinda got frustrated, though, because I wanted to go say hello to them and let Alex also say hello. But it seemed the few other GSD owners that were actually there didn't let their dogs near anyone. I was pleased with Alex's reaction to everything. There were TONS of people, and dogs everywhere, loud music and noises, children running around and screaming, dogs barking and causing a stir, and multiple booths selling things or offering services (including some with treats and tasty doggie smells). All of this is something Alex (the once timid dog that HATED other dogs and would cower when anyone would put a hand out to pet her) has never been exposed to. At least, not in this quantity. She'd never been around all the noise and commotion, nor had she been around so many people or dogs (even though she's been around individuals and dogs) - but she didn't break. Not once ![]() Anyway, despite the HUGE number of small dogs (and I mean TINY), the three of them seemed to do so well. In fact, they all walked nicely on their leashes in a row during the walk, and enjoyed a few agility jumps at one of the booths! It was so much fun to watch the three of them 'hang out' and have a good time, all the while behaving greatly (except when Alex got cranky and had enough of Zira stepping on her, lol). It was even nicer to see the three of them behaving nicely because of the fact that they were probably younger than a large majority of the dogs there (or close to the same age) and were honestly better behaved than (I'd say) 90% of the dogs there. I'm just so proud of the girls!

Thanks, guys
I'm one proud mama here!I finally feel like a real dog owner, enjoying outdoor events with my dog and not worrying that it'll scare her or that she'll freak out on someone/another dog, or having a dog wildly pulling or jumping or being out of control. An obedient dog that is friendly but calm, and will be content to just lay down and watch the world go by around her. Just enjoying a nice day with friends and our dogs. It was a great day.
