Default Not entirely sure that I picked up a puppy.

I'm pretty sure that the critter on the floor is not an eight week-old puppy. He slept almost the entire trip home, which was about 7 hours in the car, He is almost housebroken, he'll ask to go out if he has to pee but can't hold it in if your actions are not swift. One accident has occurred since friday and it was because he had a guitar fall over on him. He'll ask to go out if he has to pee. Even I nearly pissed myself from the sound.

He even sits, lies down and fetches a tennis ball on command. At least inside the house, haven't tried outside. I've been hand feeding half of his kibble to him and using mealtimes as an excuse to have a training session.

It seems the kid is fearless: Stairs, no problem, barking dogs get a head tilt, cardboard boxes and my old judo belt are his worst enemies. They'll have to deal with Dexters destructive powers.

Don't know if this kid is what they call drivey. Eager to please, easy to motivate and energetic. He's the kind of dog I've always dreamed of. And he's made me realize how important pedigree is with dogs.
