I was so proud of my puppy Jack last week. We went to a yearly local event called the Woodward Dream Cruise where people crowd sidewalks up and down Woodward Avenue to watch classic cars go by. And I mean CROWD! He only barked once, when a couple with a stroller came towards us on an otherwise empty sidewalk on the way to the event.
We took him up and down the street and people were literally surrounding us on all sides, passing us, bumping us and coming towards us. There were people with strollers, kids, other dogs, people of all ages, shapes, colors, etc. with hats, bikes, food, loud music, tents.... you name it! His heeling was good (better than expected anyways ) and a couple times kids passing us reached out and grabbed him and he was calm and no mouthing! He met lots of new people and one lady even thanked us for "propely socializing our dog" It was a proud proud moment for us!!!
