So, as many of my IRL and FB friends know; my job is trying to kill me. We were three employees down (we have two new ones), and the last couple of weeks have been close to 60 hours.
I have been doing absolutely nothing with Alice other than tug toy and find the ball games. I took her out for some errands today. She was awesome. She's usually really reactive and barky in the car, she was quiet until I ran into the pharmacy...got some mad barking there...too bad can't come in. We stopped by the park on the way home, and did the 1/2 mile track around it. I didn't wear my knee brace, and she was awesome. Responded with interest to an angry terrier on a flexi lead, and did a nice "Leave it" Did the Down Stay, I dropped the leash and walked around her. She usually lasts until 7 o'clock before she breaks it. She made it all the way around! And would have done more but I released her. There were squirrels, crows, a guy playing frisbee and school kids. Awww....I'm so proud of my Fruitbat. Not so proud of my knee. |
