I hope it's okay for me to post this here, I'm just so super proud of my girl!
First, background story. Skylar (the big girl) struggled with being fear reactive towards dogs and people as a puppy. I worked with her every weekend socializing her to safe, friendly dogs and people by staying below her fear threshold, and slowly working closer, and closer. She is now 15 months old, and look what she can do! I took her to the baseball game with Kayden. In this video you can hear kids playing ball right next to us, the game behind us, a dog barking, people cheering, the canteen with lots of people and people all around us just enjoying the game I'm so, so excited that I caught this on video with all of the different things happening at the same time! That was pure luck! Here it is! You will probably need sound on to hear all the different things. |

Good job you two! You've done a great job of socializing. It feels so good to know that all that socalizing has paid off I bet. I know when Jamie was little she was so leery of everyone, but I was determined to have a social dog that I could take with me anywhere. The socializing totally paid off. She rides beautifully and has great manners when we go anywhere. All the hard work actually does pay off in the long run. Keep up the good work.
