Today, I was on my laptop just recording my piano sessions then suddenly, Abby just starts barking. I brushed it off because she's been barking with no one at the door recently.
About 30 seconds to a minute later, she's barking her head off and doesn't see me coming. She runs all the way upstairs and barks at me. I'm wondering what the heck is going on. She does a little movement with her shoulder as if she's saying, "follow me". Then she comes over and pulls my pants to get up. Haha. I follow her and open the door because she kept pointing and barking. It was my brother with some dog treats. I'm shocked that she did the follow me thing. German shepherds are so smart. Hopefully, she'll do that when I'm immobilized and getting help for me like in the movies. |

yes they are smart and they have a great nose.
if you want your dog to get help for you or to help you physically she can definitely be trained for it. walk outside and fall on the ground and she what she does?? this might not cause a reaction from her because she might know there's nothing wrong. i don't know that for a fact.
