Default I'm so proud of our boy

Yurik turned 16 weeks old Thursday. Yesterday I decided to take him on his second socialization trip to Lowes.

When we got there, he hopped right out of the truck and happily led me toward the building. Went right in and started greeting people. We went to the building supplies area and watched them load wood on the fork lift again. He never got upset or seemed afraid. He was so confident throughout the whole visit and was a huge hit with the customers and employees. At one time, we had a whole crowd around us talking. Yurik just sat there happily. Every time someone would come up and want to talk with me about him, he would either sit or lay down until we were finished talking. I love this guy and I think he's going to do really well in obedience and rally. I'm also thinking he has the potential to make a great therapy dog.

Thanks you guys! Didn't take the camera with me but I'll try not to forget it next time. Tomorrow's socialization trip is to my Chiro's office. She's a GSD lover and Yurik loves socializing with her patients.

Yes, it's lots of fun for both of us. No, he didn't litterally jump out of the truck. I still help him up and down. Just meant that he was happy to get going. I'm sure people who see me getting him in and out think I'm strange. First, I wrap my arms around his chest and get his front legs down and then his rear. When he gets in, he puts his front feet up and I then lift his rear in. Wouldn't take any chances of him hurting his hips or elbows.

Sounds like Yurik is coming right along, congrats to you both. Don't forget the camera next time, you know how we like a puppy fix.

Taking the camera with me to my chiro's office today. I called them to let them know we were coming. They're all excited to see him.

Can't leave my Mia girl out. She'll be running errands with me later this afternoon. Took her with me to get a bisquit this morning. The girls at the bisquit place love her and always give her a piece of bacon. This makes Mia very happy since it's the only table food she ever gets.
