Today was the library and crafts fair, as well as a memorial motorcycle ride for a soldier from my class killed in Afghanistan 3 years ago. We started out by going to the start of the motorcycle ride, in which Stauba stayed calm the entire time (despite the roar of over 500 motorcycles!). We then went to the fair, where Stauba was a huge hit! A large amount of people pet her, kids played with her, she gave out kisses on hands, and we got to answer a lot of questions about search and rescue and her training! She did wonderful, this is coming from the dog that, 6 months ago, would tuck her tail in between her legs and hide behind me every time someone came near. Now, she's doing flawlessly with about 1000 people around. I am so proud of her! I took her to the home made dog toy tent, and she pulled a rope with a ball attached right off the table (the pink one, of course, LOL!). The lady there laughed, and said, "Looks like someone knows how to shop!" I, of course, bought it for her haha. Today she proved to me that I can safely, and confidently, say that my dog is very well socialized!!!
