Small Odin brag

Odin continues to both surprise me and make me one of the happiest GSD owners out there.

On top of our walks I try to get out for a hike at least twice a week as there's more space and i'm sure he finds the fields and woods more interesting. The last couple times I got up the courage (or stupidity) to let him drag his leash while we were out in the fields.

Not only did he not stray too far, but if he did gallop ahead he'd stop to see where I was and then come charging back at me full speed and wait for me to catch up. He was more than happy to trot alongside me off lead, and when I let him go up ahead all I had to do was whistle or call him and he'd come right back without hesitation.

This past week we also started back at the training club after almost a month off due to my work schedule, going on vacation, and the TD being out of town or sick. I was a little worried to see where he'd be after his time off but he certainly surprised me as well as the TD. He's on a little half sleeve thing and he was just as brave as ever, nothing the TD did to distract/startle him bothered him in the least. He almost seems totally bombproof. TD commented that Odin is really surprising him and is definitely right on track with his progress and could be a top notch dog if he continues at this pace.
