NOT running out the garage door!

Today when I opened the door to our attached garage I got a VERY welcome surprise.

I had forgotten and left the garage door open the last time I came in with Baron this morning. Later I wanted to go into the garage and get something so I called Baron (2 YO male GSD) and opened up the door into the garage, he sat and waited as I tell him to. Then I said OK and he went running into the garage.

THEN I noticed the open garage door and the clear view into the cul-de-sac right outside. baron was trotting across the garage when I called out "Wait". AND he actually stopped and looked back at me. I called him back to me and we went back into the kitchen!

WOW! What a dog - I was very proud of him especially since there were some people right outside and he usually wants to go running up to most everyone he meets!

Thts my brag for today and my pup!

It's such a great feeling--especially when they do it for the first time. Keep up the good work!

You gotta give yourself some credit in there too! One of the best things I ever did when Baron was a pup. Taught him to wait at the gate to get permission to walk out. I live on a highway so I didn't want him running out in the road he wouldn't have a chance. Good job on the training!!!
