So Sunday we started her BH class. I felt so bad because all the other dogs there were so advanced and she was being a little butt head!
It's okay though, she'll be at that level one day!So my trainer pushes me to start teaching heel. As some of you may know, I pretty much had given up heel training with her. When I lured her with a treat she would dang near take my hand off LOL and her attention span was getting better but still not enough. This class was Sunday morning and I've been practicing with her everyday since then. Wednesday night I was practicing some more and what do you know! She starts walking next to me in a heel with no treat lure! I was SO proud! Then to top it off she plunked her butt down in the fastest auto sits I've ever seen her do I'm happy she's having fun working with me!She even gives me eye contact while heeling!! Of course this is all inside the house, I tried outside and she's not ready The grass smelled too good for her.Lets see what else... Ah! Before she would only give me eye contact for about half a second tops outside, now, I can get her to focus on me for close to 10 seconds *outside*! She even did a Watch Me with a dog about 15 ft. away at training. ![]() I'm having so much fun training her and seeing the progress. Last night we also went to Costco and she was such a sweetie pie. We sat outside together waiting for BF and she didn't get all crazy and try to pull on the leash. Whenever I called her to get her to focus on me, she did it. I've had pitbulls before and they tend to be very people oriented, they always forgot I was even standing next to them when there was another person around. With Denali she can be getting loved on by strangers but as soon as I call her she's right there. She's so special and that must be one of those GSD traits that are so awesome. I feel so lucky to have her with me, I'll never have anything other than GSDs again. I just had to share, I am about to burst with all this pride and love LOL.

Way to go! She is such a good girl
I must say, I really have a lot of fun working with my pup too. It's so cool to see how all our pups are doing, and sounds like she is coming along perfectly!!!!

That is cool. Benny is two weeks younger and I love working with him too. He only heels well when there are no distractions but is improving. He is the same way about loving attention from people but is always conscious of my every move.
