Default Comments on this pedigree?

A teammate is looking at a puppy from this breeding as a cadaver dog (detection work) prospect. She would be getting a female. We know the dam as the owner was a former teammate. The handler is experienced and has a lot of good help available to her.

Would appreciate any comments or things to look for from this pedigree.

Bump. Got one offline comment about possible sharpness due to Irmus Galan Nalag.
I know the dam and two of the brothers and they are not reactive or aggressive dogs. The have solid hunt drive and great temperaments.
But combinations area another thing.....

The few Irmus kids I have seen were nice, but it will depend on the combination. I can picture a lot drive with Irmus and Vito.

I like the amount of FH1, 2 and IPO-FH in the sire. You also have Jago/Mink behind the mother who brought good hunt. Also, though a ways back, there is Körbelbach, more hunt.

I knew the dam and one brother pretty well. They were both on our team. No real issues with the dogs..The brother had some skin allergy issues but not the dam, not the other brother. The allergy issues were minor and cleared up. Another male is a monorchid but she is wanting a female puppy and won't be breeding. The one getting the pup has a retired male dog and has been waiting to get the "next" dog until everything was more stable in her own life to commit to the training and to put up a fence at her new home.

She is pretty assertive as a person and not a pushover. Think firefighter. We always put her at K9 command in our searches because she really has the interacting with LE and Fire and EMS down to a fine art, is assertive, and yet is amazing with the family etc and very soft there (she was LE before she moved into the Fire Department). So she intends to work this one as a cadaver dog. It works out pretty good letting the cadaver dogs work at base during live person searches so we can run out here and there to follow up on areas where the live find dogs may have acted strangely or to quickly search around hazards like ponds.

The one handler (the breeder) left to pursue a career in LE and the dam is a narcotics dog. The other handler wanted to pursue his business on the side, do dogsport again, and was burned out with SAR after many years.

A third litter mate of the dam is a cadaver dog on our team so I see him regularly and he is an awesome dog. Great drives and wonderful temperament for what we need. Not sharp does have some fight drive but is not aggressive.

I know Mink can be a red flag but it is pretty far back. No DA or HA in any of these dogs.

If there is nothing jumping out of the fatherline that is horrid, I think we should look at the pups. I have got other breeders (who I think have more experience and understanding how the lines mix) I would send her too but she is the typical SAR person who wants a $1500 puppy for $500 ....... and she can probably get a good deal on one from the former teammate.

I would not worry about Mink and HA except through Crok and he is back a ways. Mink did bring good hunt drive.

Has the male sired any other litters?

I do not know if he has or not.
That is a good question. He is clearly a younger dog.
