Default What does Jabina Querry bring?

At our club Christmas get-together, of course we are talking dogs, and my dog's pedigree gets brought up. Background info, Max is my first registered GSD and I picked his litter because I had met siblings and his parents and liked what I saw.

The name Jabina Querry came up as he is in my dog's pedigree. Just wondering what he brings to a dog. Max and I are just starting in our club training and he is doing great, having fun!

Curious as to what the pedigree folks know of Jabina Querry. Thanks

I don't know how Querry produced, but he was impressive to see in trials. I have some video clips of him from 3 years of WUSV Championships. He was a tough dog on the escape and also on the drives because he tended to put on the brakes. At the 2004 WUSV in Holland you could actually see his feet being dragged during the drives and the big smile on the helper when he locked up. Not a dog that was just going along for the ride. At the 05 WUSV the front half helper was a smaller man and Querry actually pulled him all the way around on the escape. The drives were not as impressive to watch that year. I liked him better in '04 and '06. There were some very good dogs behind him. I would have liked to have seen him calmer on the grip at times. Though he was fighting at times it seemed a bit too hectic.

I used to train with a son by Jabina Zenta. She was a very strong female and produced the same from what I was able to find out about her. The son was a strong dog in protection, big grips, great tracking and handler resilient. He had some quirky things I didn't like which I attribute to coming from his sire, Rocky Zingelgärten, and have seen in other Rocky sons.

A breeder/WUSV was commenting on Jabina kennels - he said he had spent some time working/training with the kennel. All the Jabina dogs he worked with were happy, friendly, eager to please dogs.
