Hello Every one i am getting a puppy from Congo Vikar
German Shepherd dog Congo Vikar Van Den Heuvel K9 -- Czech German Shepherd dog

and Fida

what are you thoughts on this line puppy

its for home protection and companion dog.

Both parents have good hip ratings. Parentage hasn't been cleared for DM - you may want to ask if they are going to do the DNA test of the parents. Otherwise, yes, from what I can see you will certainly have a protection dog. The companion part - yes, but will take knowledge and training on your part to bring out the best in the pup and bond with the pup.

Hello Mary,

Thank you for your advice.I never thought about the DM even though i see it on every website these days. Thats why i think it is important to come to this forum and seek advice. I will certainly talk to the breeder about the DM test and will make sure my puppy is healthy and sound.

I do hope my puppy will be healthy with stable temprement which is Congo is known to produce.

I will do my best to take time out and provide quality time with my puppy.I am planning to join my local Schtzhund Club.

Congo is definately the kind of dog i want and Fida's Sire and Grandsire are also as close to Congo.I can just pray to get a pup like Congo cuz not all pups will become like their father.
