Heavily line bred with some inbreeding - perhaps an opps litter?

I was talking to a Facebook friend recently who is whelping a closely related litter for someone else. The owner/breeder (von Perle) died unexpectedly.
I can probably get you some more information on the breeder, if you'd like. I'll have to remember who I was talking with! edited to add: I think the litter she is whelping right now is out of your dog's mom, Dixie. |

I'm curious....if the breeder of this dog was known at the shelter, why was this dog still in the shelter in need of adoption? Did the shelter not contact the breeder and ask it to take care of rehoming? Or did the breeder decline?

Looks like the person that bred the dog died

Working lines--the litter is by half-siblings (same father), so I would take a good look at this dog Olly vom Koksbuckel and see if anyone knows anything about him.
