Newbie here - Curious about these dogs

Hi, Pretty new to the scene, but have owned several "shelter" german shepherds. I have never owned a pure breed dog before. I have already spoken to and met with the breeder and dogs. This will be a family pet first and foremost, with training in training in obedience and tracking. It will be a hiking partner and will hopefully handle some hunting duties.

I am more curious than concerned, but do wonder about the line breeding (Ernst and Lewis in both male/female). Again, I am a newb and have no clue about these things. Just looking for opinions.

Here is the male;

Esko vom Klammeck

TRUE HAUS KENNELS GSD , DDR

and few of the females;

Stella vom True Haus

TRUE HAUS KENNELS GSD , DDR

First, welcome to the forum.
I think your post is just a bit confusing (at least for me). Are you looking at a puppy from a specific breeding? Is the male you listed the sire and is one of those females the dam for a litter you are looking into?

The male is the sire that the breeder uses. The females listed are a few of the dams that the breeder has (there are a few others). I am looking for a puppy in the near future. I am not looking into any particular litters at this time.

I have visited with this breeder and their dogs. Since then I have been looking into them a bit more, I see that their males and females share some common ancestors (Ernst and Lewis - line breeding?). I am curious about this line breeding and would like to know more before I purchase a puppy from them.
