Default Why World Wide Kennels

Why would a breeder register their dogs at Worldwide kennels instead of AKC? Is it cheaper or perhaps lower breed standards? Or maybe no criteria at all--Does AKC have criteria?

Off the top of my head? Because they have been suspended from the AKC or a lot of their breeding stock isn't AKC registerable.

AKC has no criteria other than being purebred to register. Being purebred means both parents are AKC registered with full registration.

Never heard of this registry, but if you're in the US and not importing, the AKC is really the only legit registry. The rest are just BYB or puppy mill registries.

But what is the point? does it mean they are not purebred? I read on google where it is puppy mill registration. So I guess all novice buyers need to see is that the puppy is registered and the lying puppy mill person gets their money?
Man, some people really suck.../

To elaborate and clarify: AKC has no other requirements other than the parents having full registration through AKC, or having full registration from the SV or similar. If you have a purebred dog and one of his parents are on limited registration, your dog cannot be AKC registered. If you have a purebred dog and one of his parents are unregistered or WWK registered or ContKC registered but not AKC, you can't register your dog.

So I was thinking one reason a breeder might want to use WWK is because they are using limited registration dogs or a mishmash of limited, CKC, and other less-legit registries.
