So, before I was all educated and stuff about BYB and puppy stores and all that jazz, I bought Sheldon from a puppy store. He came with pedigree papers for United All breed, but I can't find ANY of his linage online...which makes me think it's faked. This doesn't bother me TOO much, except I have no general idea of how big he's going to get, and I don't know anything about what health or temperament problems he may be prone to. All the vets I've taken him to say his hips are great so far (he'll be 6 months next week), elbows are ok, but he had downed pasterns when we got him (they're up now, but still look a little weak), and all around he's a gorgeous dog...but that doesn't stop me from being a little nervous..

Can you scan and post the pedigree you did get? It may lead back to some lines that could be traced. However, usually the pedigrees from entities like the one you mentioned are what the puppy millers use and there is no way to check authenticity. There are dozens and dozens of them in North America.
If you got a pup who is overall pretty healthy and has a temperament you can work with and are enjoying then that is no small thing.

I'll grab my printer tomorrow and post it. I've tried looking up everyone on his pedigree, but no luck. Some of the names don't seem right, either. I dunno, I'm happy about my bubbah, love him to death, which is why I guess I worry about what his health may be when he gets older xP His temperament is decent, we're working on resource guarding and some possible dog aggression (we're not sure what triggers it....can dogs be grouchy from too much play or being too tired?), so I just wanted to see if his parents had some issues like that. |

Yes, much like children they can get overstimulated or over tired and this makes them more difficult...
Even if you find the pedigree, chances are it won't include the kind of information you are looking for... |

Even if you did find the parents on other pedigrees you likely won't find any info about behavioral or temperament problems unless you can actually speak with the owners/handlers.

That's what I was thinking, Emoore. If I did know who his parents were, or at least who the breeder was, I might be able to find something out. but i'm not worried too much. It was just a thought. Lesson learned, in any case =3
