Default Pedigree check - opinions wanted

Hello everyone,

I'm hoping people with far more knowledge than I can weigh in on this breeding. I'd like to hear what some of the dogs in these lines bring to the table for a working dog, and overall your thoughts on this pairing.

good working pedigree. Sources for active aggression , strong fight drive , not just prey , and reactive. Should be very solid stable , high pain threshold , dogs that like to push the decoy.
Pedigree has some nicely structured dogs as well Neck Maineiche , Jago Lindenhalle, Hannes Spadener Holz.
Pigment should be intense . Drive strong, dog intense . Controllable and no capping issues.

Thank you carmspack. That's exactly the type of critique I am looking for.

I really liked the dogs I got by Hannes though I have never seen Doc. Very good nerves, excellent drives, late maturing dogs that work more out of aggression than play. You may need to wait for them to mature. EXCELLENT tracking ability/hunt drive. My female is bred differently than Harley, but that can give you a little idea about what Hannes produced.

I got to meet Harley herself briefly and she was social, very sound around people and kids. Good drive for toys. I didn't see her work. I have heard very good things about her sire.

I don't know anything about the dam, but I have a Doc girl and she is awesome! Lots of drive but with a good off switch, she's not hyper around the house. Right now I've got her in scentwork classes, flyball classes ( Halo practicing box work-video ), and she went dock diving for the first time too: Halo's Splash Dogs dock diving debut-pics & video

She's pretty much game for anything and puts everything she's got into everything she does. She's confident, fearless, intense, focused and very competitive, and also cuddly and affectionate. She can be a handful sometimes (Halo is our first working line GSD) but she's also been tons of fun too.

Thanks Lisa. I appreciate your input, especially your first hand experience with Hannes

Cassidy's Mom. Thanks! All of the input everyone has given is very much appreciated. Did you get to meet Doc? If so what were your thoughts on him?

Doc is in Connecticut and I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. We actually considered flying out to CT to pick Halo up because we had never bought a puppy without meeting the breeder or either parent, but it was January and the middle of an ice storm - it was 10 degrees the day she left CT!

Reading what I wrote, I need to clarify one of my comments. Donovan would have done protection as a game. He has a ton of prey drive (had to wait for it to show up), but I wanted a good H&B based on strong barking in aggression and for that I have had to wait. We have pretty much seen the same in his brother Drigon. Deja, on the other hand, has never played in protection. For her it is about the fight, over powering and controlling the helper. For a long time she wouldn't even carry the sleeve (she is 2.5 and now carries and will hold the sleeve). She was about 20 -22 months before I could really start working her. I know Hannes himself was a sleeper. So, these dogs are not dogs for those wanting to have Nationals competitors at 2 years of age.
