Default Just for fun-- what do you think, Czechsperts?

An acquaintance of mine recently got a female from this breeding. Interested to see what you think?

Sire:
V FRANCESCO Anrebri - German Shepherd Dog

Dam:
Heike Connan Bohemia - German Shepherd Dog

I think these dogs are drop-dead gorgeous (both the parents and the girl herself) but would love to hear what y'all think. Any negatives can be sent in a PM.

Not a Czech expert by any means, but I think this is a pretty typical Czech/West cross. Will be a lot of variance in structure and drives, but overall good dogs. The sire is one of the F litter sired by Frankie Anrebri. At least 4 of the dogs in the litter had very nice structure as the Anrebri dogs tend to have. The temperament in that litter differed quite a bit in terms of drive and hardness. Not that it was bad...just that there were different levels of drive and hardness. The Anrebri dogs in general are known for being structurally nice and very moderate in temperament.JMO

I have heard that as well Cliff (with regards to Anrebri dogs). Nice structure, color and decent temperament. Bred for color and sport work. I personally wouldn't go to them for a dog to do serious work though. I have heard rumblings about strength of nerves.

I wouldn't look to Anrebi for top-level sport, either. I've seen video of Francesko working, and while he's not bad, he's on the edgier side of defense in the bitework, IMO.

I'd say the pup will be a very attractive dog, should be fun to work and title if that's the plan.

This dog is a Hasko son -- Woltair Gája-Nova - German Shepherd Dog

And he's got an absolutely fantastic courage test video out there (you can see how they trained for it, too).

Truthfully, the Anrebri dogs are very nice dogs for people who want nice dog for family, sport, or obedience. Plus they are very pleasing to the eye.

Very nice. Sounds like what she's looking for, so hopefully this dog will fit the bill. Thanks everyone for your insight.

Haha. It seems like the Czech dogs are the ones everyone wants to know about nowadays, so I've looked at a lot of pedigrees!

Someone actually linked that Woltair video on Facebook about a year ago and I was impressed enough to research the dog's pedigree--now I have him saved as a "favorite."

I've been trying to find *good* dogs that don't go back to Fero. It's so hard to do, I've just about given up--now I'm just trying to find good dogs (to breed to) that don't go back to Yoschy (since most of my dogs go back to my Yoschy g-daughter).

(And, yeah, the Hasko son is linebred Fero....)
