Depends on what you're looking for in a puppy. I've heard before that Quattro vh Antverpa was the best Nessel son--and I love most of what Nessel produced as far as drive and intensity. But there's some high powered names here, especially on the dam's side, typified by high energy, high drive, intensity, and low thresholds.

From what I know of the sire, Lord, he is strong in working drives himself.

If you're looking for a dog for club/regional level schutzhund, this is a good litter to look at. If for SAR, I'd want to meet the parents and ask questions about dog aggression and socialness. If for personal protection, this litter might produce good candidates.

So, if you're looking for a good pet puppy--there *might* be a nice dog out of this litter--but it's going to be the exception, not the goal of this breeding.

you already bought the pup?
what are your goals and what is your experience.

this is a pretty volatile pedigree --- lots to handle and control , quick to ignite --

Welcome to the forum. I have a dog from Timberhaus that I am very happy with - different pedigree with only the S litter Schaferliesel in common with your pup's pedigree (mine dogs maternal grand dam is Saskia, littermate to your pup's paternal grand dam, Sindy). As these are Jill's dogs with which she has significant experience, she should be able to give you very good insight on what to expect from this pedigree.

While I am no expert, based upon my research I think BlackthornGSD's post is really good. If you have a male puppy, I would not be surprised if he develops a dominant temperament. I would also expect that this is going to be a lot of dog. I think the statement on the website that "we will only allow male pups [from this breeding] to go to experienced, knowledgeable handlers" gives some indication of what to expect. This could be a very good thing so long as this is the type of dog you are looking for. I would not expect this to be a good match for someone looking for a couch potato, furbaby, golden retriever with prick ears.

I check in on Timberhaus' website on occasion and was very intrigued by this breeding. Best wishes on your pup. Please keep us updated.

Is this a bloodline that tends to produce dominant males and more submissive females?
