I'm intersted in the responses as well. Anrebri had a litter by Zico, and I started looking into him. He looks awesome! , but that is not a very well eduated opinion. Good thing I won't be in the market for a new puppy for years!

Seems to be a very nicely balanced pedigree that brings lots of prey drive and trainability to the table. Mostly west German working dogs, the bottom 1/4 of the pedigree is Czech. I don't see any "alarms" in the pedigree--nothing extreme in any one way or another. The sire lines are all top sport/working lines right now--so high in energy and prey drive.

The sire brings good strength/power combined with good trainability. I would expect fairly high energy levels and most of the puppies will probably need to be worked/trained. Should not be too high in defense/civil drive (depending somewhat on what the dam is like individually--how strong are her nerves, how balanced is she personally, etc.) but also are not likely to be just "prey monkeys"--I would expect good fight drive.

So, this could be an excellent litter for someone looking for a dog to work.... not so good for someone who just wants a dog to take hiking on the weekends.

Ok christine you are 100% correct. That is exactly what it is, I own a bitch from this breeding. She is incredible, she is very high prey and she is handler sensitive she will however fight.

how would you add defense? Where should you look stud wise?

What sort of defense are you looking for? The dog that naturally guards and is more territorial? A dog who has higher suspicion levels overall? A dog who targets the man more than the sleeve? A dog who strangers can't approach or touch?
