I found this site AFTER I got my new puppy from a local breeder. After several hours poking around it is clear I know nothing, including what my baby is (working, show, etc.)
I picked her up last week on Wednesday and she is 12 wks old. So far she has been awesome with kids, strangers, other dogs and wants to "help" whenever someone is doing something - digging a hole, picking up sticks, dragging a hose... Anyway, can I please get some opinions of what I have and maybe some insight on what potential she could have. I know she is German, but don't know if she is from working or show lines. My hobby going forward will be working with this dog. At this point I am not sure which direction to take or what all the options are. There are a few Schutzhund clubs in the area and I'll begin checking them out this weekend. Here's her parents pedigrees: V Roberto vom Tannenbruch - German shepherd dog V Yessi von der Börde - German shepherd dog What do think and why? Any input would be appreciated. |

100% west german show lines -- enjoy your dog . Socialize her , join a basic obedience class and get a feel for working with her to see what her potentials are.

You sound like me. I got pup cause I liked the breeders. I didn't have a clue about pedigree. My boy is also 100% WGSL. He's lovely in looks and temperament. I don't know how I got up in the morning without his smiling face with his ears laid allllll the way back.
